by Tim GorskiAn insidious teaching now threatens our way of life, a set of false beliefs that have their source in the devil and his works. It is even now being taught to innocent children who grow up believing that the biblical Genesis story is just a fable and that its lessons can be forgotten in favor of what is now called "science." As a result, our civilization is crumbling around us, and immorality runs rampant. The threat, my friends, is the demonic doctrine known as "historical linguistics" which holds that human languages have all descended from a common ancestral language once spoken by primitive humans. All of our present languages, English, French, Swahili, Chinese, say these historical linguists, gradually evolved over tens or hundreds of thousands of years from this supposed first language. And this is what children are now being taught in the schools! The result can be heard in the "music" of today's young people. The words, when they can be understood at all, slur together into a disgusting jumble of incomplete sentences and split infinitives. Proper diction is in danger of disappearing altogether as corrupted and tortured grammar becomes the norm. The result can be seen in soaring crime rates, widespread violence, drug use, and teenage pregnancies. For once it is believed that the very words that we speak came from the guttural mutterings of prehistoric peoples, after all, it is natural for people to begin to act as if they were such brutish louts. Yet the fact is, which we know from the very Word of God as written in the Bible, that God Almighty created all the languages which exist today in their present form. This was done only a few thousand years ago when He confused the original language given to Adam and Eve as punishment for their descendants' building of the tower of Babel. The atheistic historical linguists don't like this to be said. It goes against their mechanistic/materialistic faith belief that God is not necessary to explain why people speak different languages. It might expose the fatal weaknesses in their own ridiculous theory. This is why they do not allow the teaching of Scientific Babelism whenever the subject of the origins of languages comes up. Instead, they teach our children lies and point to their historical linguistics as some kind of proof for their secular humanist rejection of God's power. But the truth about historical linguistics is that it is nothing but a theory. If it were true, there would be all sorts of examples of words and sentences turning into each other when nothing of the sort has ever been observed. No one has ever seen, for example, "sobaka" [Russian] turn into "dog." No one has ever seen "sayonara" [Japanese} turning into "goodbye." And how could such words even be supposed to gradually turn into each other? What meaning would "sobaog" or "sayobye" have? And these are just simple words. The historical linguists claim that whole languages can turn into each other. This is like saying that a child growing up in an Eskimo village could suddenly begin speaking fluent Armenian! It is asking us to believe that there could be transitional languages in which all the nouns were English, all the verbs Spanish, and all the adjectives and adverbs Vietnamese! A language of any kind is also simply too complex to have arisen without God's intervention. Every meaningful statement in any language amounts to an elaborate series of sounds that simply could not arise as a result of random grunts and groans. Experts in phonetics admit that even the simplest of expressions consist of dozens of distinct, highly-specialized sounds out of thousands of possibilities. This means that the first sentence ever spoken could only have come about by chance with a probability of approximately 1 in 10^36. Even then, saying "ouch" or "no," much less anything more, would be useless without there being others who understand what such expressions mean and who possess the ability to ask "What's wrong?" and, in turn, be understood. Historical linguists, in other words, are claiming that all the sounds that human beings are capable of making somehow all sprang together spontaneously not once but over and over again until everyone in some supposed prehistoric community had a language! Common sense tells us otherwise. Common sense tells us that everyone, everywhere, and all times, has always learned to speak a language by being taught how to speak a language by others. No one, anywhere, has ever observed someone's acquiring the ability to speak a language in any other way. It just, plain, flat does not happen and could not happen. Even the laws of physics prove the fact that the historical linguists' claims are sheer fantasy. The Second Law of Thermodynamics, for example, states that things can never go from simple to complex but are always tending towards more and more disorganization. This is undoubtedly why so many people are having more and more difficulty understanding God's Holy Word as it is written in the Bible. And the historical linguists are accelerating the corruption of our God-given English language with their Satanic plot! All the evidence is on the side of Scientific Babelism, as well. When ancient artifacts are unearthed, there is either evidence of language or there is not. No archaeologist has ever found writings of any kind that showed one language turning into another, much less a language forming spontaneously. In all cases, the evidence points unequivocally to the existence, from the beginning, of completely formed languages. Oh, certainly, languages can change in minor ways. There is no denying that "Internet" is a word that people had no use for in the past, and the same can be said for "telephone" and "television" and so on. The same is true for dialects. But a few new words and people speaking with a little different pronunciation or with a little different emphasis here and there hardly amounts to languages turning into each other. In fact, it is just so much more evidence for the fact that, since Babel, our God-given languages have tended to degenerate further. But these minor linguistic variations certainly do not even come close to proving that a language of any kind could have just come about spontaneously without the intervention of God. It is also true that there are certain similarities between various languages, such as "pater" and "father," "milch" and "milk" and so on. But this is not at all a reflection of there having been some kind of "root language" from which all the languages came. Rather, it is simply a reflection of the fact that all the languages have a common Author: Almighty God. Just as the automobiles made by a certain company often share certain engineering similarities, so all the languages of the world resemble each other in ways that show us that they are all part of the divine creation. It is time to do something about the accelerating corruption and decay of our God-given language and of our Godly society. We must stop the unholy onslaught of the historical linguists. They can be counted on to resist, of course. They will say that Scientific Babelism is not really scientific, just because their naturalistic/materialistic "science" rules out the existence and importance of God. But we must make a start now before it is too late. At the very least, we must be sure that, whenever the subject of the origin of languages comes up, that Scientific Babelism gets a fair hearing. In addition, children should be taught the evidence both for and against the theory of historical linguistics. Isn't that only fair? Isn't that the American way?
